District Patient Safety and Clinical Quality Committee looking for public members

Expressions of interest are sought for members of the public to join the Far West LHD District Patient Safety and Clinical Quality Committee and help improve the quality of care and services.

The purpose of the District Patient Safety and Clinical Quality Committee is to ensure the integrity of the Far West LHD’s system to monitor the safety and quality of clinical care and service provided, and to ensure continuous improvement occurs in the quality of care and services.

“This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a committee that will be working towards identifying gaps and planning actions to ensure that the Local Health District remains focused on Patient Based Care across the Far West now and into the future,” said Ms Zandra Corey, Director Clinical Governance, Far West LHD.

“Members will be required to attend a minimum of ten meetings per calendar year either in person or via video/ teleconference. I wish to encourage people from the remote sites of the Local Health District to consider joining this Committee.

“The criteria are that you share the vision of the Local Health District and that you are committed to the involvement of patients and consumer engagement in health care planning and delivery,” said Ms Corey.
