Young people in Broken Hill aged 16-25 have until Thursday, 30 June to try a locally co-designed e-Mental Health tool and be part of Project Synergy.
The Synergy Online Ecosystem is an innovative system of integrated apps and e-tools that can be used on your mobile or online.
Synergy helps you decide what sort of help you need and directs you to one of three services – Happiness Central, ReachOut NextStep and the Mental Health eClinic. Then you can take part is web based activities that help you improve your mental health and wellbeing according to your individual needs. It’s all done online, so is private and secure.
Most people will find plenty in Happiness Central to help them cope with stress. Those needing more help can access ReachOut NextStep and in urgent situations, the Mental Health e-clinic provides access to a world class clinician via videolink.
“We’ve got to this stage by a series of workshops with young people in Broken Hill, Central Coast and Western Sydney in which they told the research team what they wanted and how they wanted it to look,” Susan Daly, Director Mental Health and Drug & Alcohol Service, Far West LHD.
“This trial gives further opportunity to refine the system and get it working for you before it’s released Australia-wide!”
